A modern take on a Borshchiv Vyshyvanka.
Legend has it, that long time ago, the Turks and Tatars killed most of the men in the area of Borshchiv. To honour their memory, their women swore to wear vyshyvankas richly embroidered by black thread. They also swore to pass on this tradition for seven generations.
These days Borshchiv vyshyvankas come in many forms and styles, but retain the tradition of rich, black embroidery.
